About

What is Department of Commerce, DSE known for?

The Department of Commerce at the Delhi School of Economics, on the University of Delhi's North Campus, runs three two-year MBAs: International Business, Human Resource Development and Business Analytics. It also offers the M.Com, which admits separately through the university's common PG admission process, and a doctoral programme.

All three MBAs admit through CAT. The department shortlists candidates for group discussion and personal interview, then publishes a merit list and runs counselling rounds; for 2026–28 the final counselling round ran in late August 2026, so expect a long process if you are on a later list. The department does not publish its selection weights or a percentile cutoff.

As a public university department, the fee is very low: reported figures put the total payable for 2026–28 at ₹57,279.

The department does not publish a batch-wise placement report on its site. Ask the placement cell for the latest median salary and the number of students placed before you accept an offer, and compare the three programmes, since their roles differ.
