About
The Department of Management Studies at IIT Roorkee runs a two-year, full-time residential MBA with 95 seats on the IIT Roorkee campus in Uttarakhand. A blended-mode executive MBA runs alongside it.
Admission is through CAT 2026 for the 2027–29 batch. The department shortlists on CAT performance and invites candidates by email; JEE-qualified IIT graduates with a CGPA of 7 or more on 10 skip CAT and are called straight to interview. The final merit list combines CAT, the interview and work experience, but the department does not publish the weights or a percentile cutoff. For 2026, interviews were held in March at Roorkee, Greater Noida, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Kolkata. Graduates need 60% marks (55% for SC, ST and PwD).
The 2026–27 fee schedule is listed on the institute's fees page but could not be read, so the fee is not shown here; confirm it with the department before applying.
For 2023–25, reported figures give a median CTC of ₹17.64 LPA, an average of ₹17.91 LPA and a highest of ₹24 LPA, with consulting, banking and manufacturing firms among recruiters.
Cutoff
The percentile of the last candidate called (or admitted) in the latest cycle, from the institute where it publishes this, otherwise as reported for that cycle. Where no actual figure is out yet, the expected call percentile is shown and labelled. This is the reality check next to the minimum.
