About

What is NIBM Pune known for?

The National Institute of Bank Management in Pune runs one flagship programme, a two-year residential PGDM in Banking and Financial Services. It is approved by AICTE, accredited by NBA and recognised by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to an MBA.

Admission is through CAT or GMAT. For 2026–28 the cut-off to be called for the Oral Communication Test and interview was 80 for Open candidates on either test. The final merit list gives the test score 35, school academics 25, the interview 25, the oral test 10 and extracurriculars and work experience 5, so strong Class 10 and 12 marks matter here. Applications for 2026–28 closed on 20 March 2026, later than many PGDM institutes.

The 2026–28 fee is ₹8,82,000 a year, including hostel; mess and deposits are extra.

For the 2024–26 batch of 130, NIBM reports 128 students placed, a median of ₹13.50 LPA, an average of ₹14.68 LPA and a highest of ₹18.00 LPA, published before the cycle closed. NIBM is placed in the 101–125 band of NIRF 2025 management.
