About
The Institute of Public Enterprise was set up in 1964 as a research institute on public-sector management and has run a PGDM since 1995. Its residential campus is at Shamirpet, north of Hyderabad, and the PGDM is AICTE-approved with NBA and SAQS accreditation.
IPE runs six two-year PGDMs: the general PGDM and programmes in Marketing, Banking and Financial Services, International Business, HR and Business Analytics.
It accepts a wide range of exams, including CAT, XAT, MAT, ATMA, CMAT, GMAT and the Telangana ICET. Final selection weighs the test score at 40, academics at 20, the interview at 35 and diversity at 5. No cutoff is published; figures reported for CAT 2025 put the call at about the 70th percentile.
