About
Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam runs its flagship two-year Post Graduate Program (PGP), which leads to an MBA degree, from a campus at Gambheeram village, north of Visakhapatnam city. It held its 10th convocation in April 2026 and also runs an Executive MBA, a PGPMCI for centrally funded technical institutions and other executive and doctoral programmes.
Admission is through CAT. Under the 2026–28 policy (the 2027–29 policy is not yet out), candidates clear category-wise minimum CAT percentiles, are ranked before the interview on CAT, academics, gender diversity and work experience, and are then interviewed. The final score gives the personal interview 48% and CAT 25%, with work experience 10%, gender diversity 5% and 4% each for Class 10, Class 12 and the bachelor's degree. Candidates interviewed by four other IIMs can have the average of those interview scores used instead.
The 2026–28 fee is ₹23,58,590, the sum of the published Year I and Year II totals; the caution deposit and a per-term mess advance are extra.
