About
IIM Mumbai began in 1963 as NITIE, set up by the Government of India with the International Labour Organization, and later became an IIM under the Ministry of Education. Its industrial-engineering roots show in a separate MBA in Operations and Supply Chain Management, which runs alongside the general MBA and an MBA in Sustainability Management.
Admission is on CAT. The 2026–28 policy set minimum overall and sectional percentiles by category, then shortlisted for interviews on the CAT score, and built the final list from CAT (60), the interview (20) and academics plus work experience (20). With CAT carrying most of the weight, your percentile matters more here than at IIMs that weigh profile heavily.
The 2024–26 final batch had 505 students across the three MBA tracks. IIM Mumbai's report gives an average CTC of ₹31.4 LPA and a highest of ₹71.4 LPA; it does not publish a median for the batch.
The ₹25 lakh programme fee does not cover the mess, which is billed separately and a year in advance, and a ₹50,000 caution deposit is due at admission.
