About

What is IBS Hyderabad known for?

IBS Hyderabad is the business school of the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, a deemed university, so it awards an MBA degree. It runs from a residential campus on Shankarapalli Road and holds AACSB accreditation, with the university rated NAAC A++.

IBS accepts its own IBSAT as well as CAT, GMAT, NMAT and XAT. It publishes no shortlist cutoff; the CAT percentile figures in its documents are scholarship thresholds. Shortlisted candidates give a short micro presentation and take a personal interview, usually in February.

The batch is large. The university's NIRF 2026 data shows 1,078 of 1,230 graduates placed from the 2023–25 batch, with a median salary of ₹9.00 LPA, and the institute reports that 93% of the Class of 2026 was placed.

The 2027–29 fee is ₹17.01 lakh, with hostel and mess billed separately. Applications for 2027 opened on 1 July 2026 and close on 22 December 2026.

What percentile actually gets a call?

The percentile of the last candidate called (or admitted) in the latest cycle, from the institute where it publishes this, otherwise as reported for that cycle. Where no actual figure is out yet, the expected call percentile is shown and labelled. This is the reality check next to the minimum.
