About

What is IIFT Delhi known for?

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade was set up in 1963 by the Government of India's commerce ministry and is now a deemed university, so it awards an MBA degree. Its flagship MBA in International Business focuses on trade and global markets and runs over six trimesters. The same programme runs at Delhi, Kolkata, Kakinada and GIFT City, at the same total fee, and Delhi also has an MBA in Business Analytics.

IIFT now admits through CAT. It shortlists on the CAT score plus other parameters that it does not publish in detail, so check the official shortlist notice each year. Shortlisted candidates take a group discussion and an interview in person at about ten cities.

The 2026–28 fee is ₹19.73 lakh, with hostel and mess billed separately; the 2027–29 fee is confirmed only in the offer letter.

The latest final placement figures on IIFT's site are for 2023–25: a median CTC of ₹26 LPA, an average of ₹31.30 LPA and a highest international offer of ₹1.23 crore.
