About

What is SICSR Pune known for?

SICSR is Symbiosis's IT-focused institute in central Pune, running since 1985, with undergraduate, MSc and MBA programmes on its Model Colony campus. The MBA (IT) offers four specialisations: banking and financial markets, data analytics, IT infrastructure management, and software process management. A separate MBA in Technology Management runs alongside it.

Admission is through SNAP, followed by an online Group Exercise and Personal Interaction. SICSR's FAQ gives the weights as SNAP 50, GE 10 and PI 40, and no cutoff is published.

The academic fee is among the lower ones in the Symbiosis group, at ₹2,93,500 per instalment for the 2027–29 batch. Hostel and mess are charged on top and are available only for the Model Colony campus.

The latest published placement figures are for the 2023–25 MBA (IT) batch: an average of ₹5,97,622 and a highest of ₹8,40,000 a year. Postgraduate students also do a four- to six-month internship after the third semester.
